This is the month of love. We often don't realize what we are sending out and/or receiving. We will look at the messages we send ourselves and others, if our intentions are matching the message and bring ourselves into alignment with the truth of our hearts. Join us for this delightful and healing gathering.

The Gift of Partners

As with most months, I start thinking about the next ezine the moment the last one is sent out by my incredibly wonderful web meister, Andrew Adleman. I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge this magnificent business partner right here. He is the magician behind this ezine.

We have worked together for more years than I can remember and have become friends over the years. We finally met up in an airport for a meal and so we could actually see each other face to face. We talk football all year round. We share stories and pictures of our kids. We discuss challenges with the changes in the industry (Yes, even though healing is very personal, it is an industry.) We even discuss food and the weather!

Most importantly to you, he sends out this newsletter. Believe me, it is no small feat. It is not a blog, so the complexities of getting it to look right on all computers with photos and style and information, is more that I have ever wanted to take on. He offered to teach me - once. I took one look at the backside of this “simple little ezine” and said, “No thank you” with certainty and finality.

So he continues to hold my hand when I am trying to do too many things at once. He squeezes me in between much more profitable clients so you can receive information in a timely fashion. He is the voice of calm and the presence of love. He works when I know he is tired. He laughs at my silly jokes when he is focused on fixing some nit picky style issue. He is truly the New Age Zen Meister of electronic publication.

Andrew, I bow to you with gratitude and reverence, kind sir.

These days we have many types of business partners. I love and appreciate each and every one of mine. Every person that supports my well being is my business partner. Without them, I would not be able to offer the service I do with the clarity and depth that is critical for your well being. My short list is: a trainer, an editor, a yoga teacher, massage therapists and chiropractors in many states, a cleaning service, an esthetician, a CPA, cat sitters, several people I discuss business with, a marketing guru, a Resonance Repatterner and more!

I will speak of these wonderful healers by name from time to time. They all offer healing in their very specific way. They are professionals with heart. That is the most important thing to me. It is not easy finding people you click with. However, it is critical. They can’t be “sort of OK.” Even though we have been taught the importance of compromise, when it comes to my well being and yours, there can be no compromise.

That is not to say that all of us don’t have good days, better days and worse days. We allow for our humanity and idiosyncrasies in personal relationships. It is common sense and good business practice to offer the same courtesy with these important partners. There is always an ebb and flow to a good working relationship.

Also, I have to know when not to work so that when I work, I am at my best. I expect the same of my partners. My needs are never so great that I would ask someone to compromise his or her well being. I may be disappointed or even a little panicked. However, I trust Spirit and know that everything will work out in rightful timing. That is a great gift – letting go of control – though not the easiest one to receive. A great place to practice is with our business partners.

As partners, we meet each other with love and respect. We listen and offer what is appropriate. We ask for what we need or think we need as clearly as we can. We work out the money details up front so there are no surprises. We talk about changes and improvements with compassion and grace. We are always working for the highest and best of everyone involved.

Take some time to think about your business partners. We have business partners for business, for living and for taking care of our selves so we can be the best and offer the best with love and grace. Maybe it’s your kids because they give you quiet time to take care of you. Maybe your mechanic is on of your best business partners. Perhaps your beloved makes you dinner when you have to work late. Does your best friend pitch in and wrap presents when you have a cold?

Thank you to all my business partners - past, present and future. I know that I would not be who I am today and in the future without your wisdom, healing, laughter, love and talent.

With love, gratitude and blessings, .
